As a freelance art historian Ellen often works with experienced dealers in antique works of art and organisations of national and international art fairs. 

Ellen obtained her bachelor’s degree in Art History at the University of Leiden and her master’s degree in (Art) History at the University of Amsterdam. She received her artistic education at the Hogeschool voor de Kunsten Utrecht and the Royal Academy of Art in The Hague.
